Dear Parents,
Wow! Our first week of school has been so successful. We learned about our daily routine, remembered to use manners with each another, and began our studies in reading, mathematics, social studies, and Hebrew/Judaic studies. We reviewed calendar skills both in English and Hebrew, heard a story about sequencing, and learned about rules. We performed the short play, Miss Nelson is Back, drew pictures of our soul, and made challot covers. And this is just a peek at what we have been about!
Additionally, our girls learned their own Hebrew names, the meaning thereof, each otherís Hebrew and English names, and shared in playing various games. They played outside with Mr. Sweet! He is an important participant in our outdoor play! Our girls also shared what they already know with Ms. Oskin and Mrs. Sweet and toured the building that houses their school. They loved having Faygie visit and did a wonderful art/ name project.
Now they are ready for the weekend and hopefully we will all be able to come together at Wingra Park on Sunday from 10-11:30 am for fun and frolic. On Wednesday we would like parents to come from 6:30-7:30 pm for Meet the Teacher Night.
Because we are such a small school and as no one at present is allergic to nuts, it has been requested that we be allowed to have nut products at school for this year. Unless there are any problems with this we would like to proceed in such manner.
In looking toward our upcoming events, know that we are working on finalizing plans for swimming and dance even as we prepare for the holidays and monthly trips to the Monroe Street Library.
Please feel free to contact us if you need to and until next timeÖ do have a sweet Shabbat.
Kol tuv,
Meisha and Jodi
